With another Sunday School year almost upon us, it is time for teachers to begin thinking about getting organized for their classes. Today’s post contains a few things to help teachers get ready!
Introduction Letter to Sunday School Students – this template can be personalized for each teacher. It is helpful for the students and parents to have a clear idea of what is expected of each child.
Front Page for Binder/Duotang – a simple front page that can be personalized with the students name.
Bible Marking Sheet – to help students remember which colors to use for which words while Bible marking
Memory Verse Cards – a template that shows the size to print memory verses if wanting to glue onto an index card.
Lesson Plan Example – a sample lesson plan for those new to planning out Sunday School lessons.
Sunday School Messenger Bag Pattern
A sister recently shared this messenger bag pattern with us. It can fit a CSSA lesson book and a regular sized bible in a case, a duotang of activity sheets, and it has a pocket for pencils. It can be made out of any type of material. This sister made her bags out of a painter’s drop sheet. She plans to tie dye the bags with her students during a Sunday School class.
The pattern that is included needs to be printed on tabloid size paper. If you do not have a printer at home that does this size, you could always send it to Staples or Officeworks (or whatever the equivalent is in your neck of the woods!)
This PDF document is the pattern to make a Sunday School Messenger Bag.
*** Update … here is a photo of the finished Sunday School bags. The students helped tie-dye them. ***
Sunday School Bag
Another idea for Sunday School bags is this simple design a sister makes for all new 3 year olds joining her class. She uses the same pattern for each child but changes the fabric. She also sews on the first initial of their name. The children are so excited when it is their turn to join Sunday School and finally get their very own Sunday School bag.
