Abraham is told to Offer Isaac His Son (CSSA Primary Stage 1 Lesson 8)

In this week’s Sunday School lesson we will be learning about when God asked Abraham to offer his son Isaac as an act of faith. Not only will learning the story be interesting for the younger children, but it can also be a wonderful opportunity to discuss God’s love in offering His only begotten son on our behalf.

“By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:  Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.”
