We ended last week’s lesson with Moses fleeing from Pharaoh into the Midian wilderness and becoming a shepherd in the house of faithful Jethro. Moses’ confidence in himself has been shattered and he is now able to learn humility and complete trust in God. This week’s lesson will show how God makes known to Moses His great Name and His purpose with Israel.

Year-Long Lapbook Project
(Please refer to this post for details on the lapbook project.)
There are two activities for the lapbook this week. One is a burning bush to decorate, with a word search inside. The other is a flap where the students have to write inside what the burning bush represents (ISRAEL).
Click here to download the PDF of the two flaps. There are instructions for printing and folding the flaps in the PDF document.
Thanks to Kate B. for sharing these practical challenges.
Each week we hope to share a practical challenge that can be incorporated into the lesson or as homework.
Lesson 17 – Practical Challenge
In case you’ve forgotten, two dedicated Sunday School teachers have very useful Pinterest pages that link directly to the CSSA program. Each week we will share direct links to the Pinterest boards so you can quickly and easily get quality ideas if needed.
“This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer
by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.”
