In this week’s lesson we travel with the 12 spies into the Promised Land for the first time. We see how the land God had promised was a fruitful land and God expected to see fruits of faith developing in His people. Unfortunately few had learned to walk by faith and not by sight. We’ll learn how God will not tolerate those who do not believe His word, but He will reward those who trust in Him.

Memory Verse System
We are planning to use the same Memory Verse system we started last year. Hopefully this will help you keep memory verses all in one place and make reviewing easier. Please refer to this post for the memory verse activity for Primary Stage 2.

Every six weeks or so, I will upload a new sheet of memory verses.
Note: these memory verses are aimed at Primary age children (5-8 years old).
Year-Long Lapbook Project (thanks to Julia H.)
(Please refer to this post for details on the lapbook project.)
The activities for this lapbook this week included a flapbook listing the foods the spies found in the land of Israel and a maze.

Thanks to Kate B. for sharing these practical challenges.
Each week we hope to share a practical challenge that can be incorporated into the lesson or as homework.
Lesson 2 – Practical Challenge
We need to always trust in God! Think of something you are afraid of, then ask God to help you to not be afraid but to believe that He is looking after you.
Here is a cluster of grapes craft and classroom decorating idea.
In case you’ve forgotten, two dedicated Sunday School teachers have very useful Pinterest pages that link directly to the CSSA program. Each week we will share direct links to the Pinterest boards so you can quickly and easily get quality ideas if needed.
