The nation of Israel struggled with many of the same challenges that we are still faced with today. In a world that is all about the here and now it can be incredibly difficult to have faith in the unseen God. In this week’s lesson we learn about Israel’s failure to trust in the invisible God and be set apart as His chosen people.

Lesson 18 – Practical Challenge
The people of Israel looked at the nations around them and wanted to be like them. We need to remember not to look around us at the things the world has to offer, but remember that God is our king and that we are looking forward to the kingdom to come! The Lord’s prayer in Matthew 6v9-13 says “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth” – look it up and make it your prayer one night this week.
In case you’ve forgotten, two dedicated Sunday School teachers have very useful Pinterest pages that link directly to the CSSA program. Each week we will share direct links to the Pinterest boards so you can quickly and easily get quality ideas if needed.
“And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.”
