“His Generosity” Verse Writing Plan for February

{Thank you to Julie S. for this verse writing plan.}

The parable of the good Samaritan tells us about the evil robbers who left a man beaten and half-dead on the side of the road; it tells of a Levite and Priest who crossed to the other side, and the Samaritan who stopped to help.  All that we know about the injured man is that he was in need.  Jesus was willing to help anyone in need.  True religion involves generosity: it involves unselfishness in giving and also unselfishness in receiving.  When Jesus was wronged, he did not think first of the wrong that was done to him, but of the needs of those who did him wrong.  Love does not keep a record of wrongs.  When you find others difficult, think about what they must endure in you.  Jesus loved his enemies and forgave them.  He befriended all sorts of people.  Be generous.
