The butterfly life-cycle is amazing. It has not always been well understood. There was a time when it was thought that butterflies spontaneously generated. A better understanding of the life-cycle of butterflies allows better care of all creation.
There are around 20,000 different species of butterflies of all shapes, sizes, and colours. They are all important in their vital role of pollination. They are also a key indicator of the health of our environment and ecosystems due to their fragility.
Butterflies also bring joy to people, and many people create gardens specifically for butterflies and moths.
Maybe this can also help us to appreciate the diversity amongst our spiritual family.
