This week’s lesson is a lovely reminder that our memories are God given – and He intended for us to remember His faithfulness in the past to motivate us to trust and believe He will be faithful in the future. The children of Israel were asked to create physical reminders to help them make God real in their lives. It is also interesting to see how consistently God works from one generation to another – the same process the children of Israel had to go through leaving Egypt is done now with this new generation entering the Promised Land. Belief in God to provide and commitment to Him in baptism has always been the standard God has set.

Practical Challenge
Thanks to Kate B. for sharing these practical challenges.
Each week we hope to share a practical challenge that can be incorporated into the lesson or as homework.
Primary Lesson 8 – Practical Challenge
The Israelites set up stones to remind them of what God had done for them and so their children and grandchildren would ask questions and learn about God. Think of some questions to ask mum and dad about the things we do (e.g. why do we have bread and wine, or why do we meet together on Sunday etc.)
Craft Ideas
In case you’ve forgotten, two dedicated Sunday School teachers have very useful Pinterest pages that link directly to the CSSA program. Each week we will share direct links to the Pinterest boards so you can quickly and easily get quality ideas if needed.
