CSSA Stage 2 – Junior Lesson 12: Death of Joshua

Joshua Dies (CSSA Junior Stage 2 Lesson 12)

Joshua’s life was drawing to a close, and God had faithfully kept His promise of not “leaving, nor forsaking” Joshua all the days of his life. Joshua used this last opportunity to plead with the nation to fear Yahweh and obey His commandments.

Practical Challenge

Thanks to Kate B. for sharing these practical challenges.

Each week we hope to share a practical challenge that can be incorporated into the lesson or as homework.

Junior Lesson 12 – Practical Challenge

Just like the nation of Israel, we need to choose to serve God. To serve God we must remember what He has done for His people, remember His promise of the Kingdom to come and also try to follow His character – to be kind, to be thoughtful of others, to speak the truth and to make good decisions about the way we behave.  Let’s serve God with our whole heart!

“For if Joshua had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.”
